At the end of the movie when Dreyfus, who was trying to unsuccessfully do away with Clouseau, finally snapped, and started growling and biting Clouseau's leg. He sounded just like a dog.

Absolutely! Dreyfuss has finally lost it , goes after both Cousteau & detective's ankles, growing, snapping, crying while he is pulled away. Love Herbert Lombardi.

TCM is showing both Clouseau movies, "The Pink Panther", and "A Shot in the Dark". While I thought the first film, "TPP" was very funny, it didn't have Herbert Lom in it, whom I loved.

I love the way Lom put so much energy into playing a crazed dog.
I bet a lot of actors would turn down a role if the were asked to act like that!
