I watch it every time it's on TCM.
probably one of the most riveting movies ever made.

It was on again just the other day. Those who watch this film and denigrate technical aspects, production values, etc., miss the central message of the film. I actually like it better than Strangelove. What I find strange is people, especially Fonda, saying they would laugh at this after watching Strangelove.
        Huh..

That's how I felt when I first saw it as a teenager in the early 80s.
And since I saw it before Strangelove, it has a much, much bigger impact on me.
I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

Though not as high on the 'disaster' scale as this one, 'The Bedford Incident' with Richard Widmark and Sidney Poitier is an equally chilling and shocking Cold War film.

The uncompromisingly bleak ending packs a devastating punch right to the gut.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

Yez, great intense film. I'm glad it didn't come true…yet.

Yes I agree. Probably the best nuclear war film ever made, but it was ignored because it was released at the same time as Strangelove.
