I just viewed Tom Jones after not seeing it for many, many years. I found it to be entirely enjoyable.
I thought the acting was quite remarkable. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Hugh Griffith and will look for him in other films I have not seen. Susannah York and Albert Finney were also terrific, in my opinion. My praise for the quality of acting can be extended to all of the other minor players as well. They too were wonderful.
The film was beautiful. I particularly enjoyed scenes portraying life in the English country-side. The musical score was also much appreciated.
All in all, Tom Jones is a fine effort., a film which can be viewed and enjoyed many, many times.
