    Where has this movie been hiding? What a great creepy little thriller! A couple of great, memorable scary images and moments. Terrific Oliver Reed (as usual)! Highly recommended if you're looking for a sophisticated fright flick!

      I agree, although I do like the 1980's remake "Brat Farrar" better. But since it isn't available anywhere and probably will never be, I'll settle for "Paranoiac." My favorite creepy scene is the one in the chapel, where the masked figure in the robe turns out to be Aunt Harriet. She scares me almost as much as Simon does. There was something almost unnatural the way she said Simon was "hers."

        You can see "Brat Farrar" on youtube now. It's not exactly a "remake" - it's a dramatization of the novel and unlike this movie actually follows the novel.
