A carnival space ride becomes frightening real when an alien birdman rigs it with actual rockets. It blasts off into space with the carney ride captain, the stewardess
(yeah, that's what they called them back then)
, an angry man and his wife, a high school quarterback accompanied by his buddy and his girl friend.
Turns out the birdman is trying to avoid a collision between earth and an asteroid. This is a pretty silly episode. I didn't even know the alien was supposed to be a birdman until I read the reviews. Made me think of Bird Person from
Rick and Morty.
