What I love about the ending is the way Angela Lansbury instantly turns her head to look at the window where only she knows Raymond is, after Johnny is shot. All her years of scheming and plotting come down to that final second, where she knows she's next and she can't buy or scheme her way out of it. Her fear is palpable and the way Lansbury projects it is brilliant. She has a single shot in which to telegraph all her emotions, and I'm not sure anyone else working at that time could have done it half so well.

Agreed with Witness for the Prosecution. Obviously someone mentions Usual Suspects and Chinatown which are two of my favorites.
Obviously a different style movie but I love the ending of SAW.
Oh, I love a picnic. Acres and acres of sand and all of it in your food.

I know it's been a while since this thread was started, but the topic has me wondering what endings folks came up with to fill out the top five. Would the Sixth Sense be in there somewhere?

How about top ten endings - in no particular order
              Casablanca.
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
              The Usual Suspects
              The Conversation
              Chinatown
              Citizen Kane
              Planet of the Apes
              Don't Look Now
              12 Monkeys
              The Manchurian Candidate
Nobody's looking for a puppeteer in today's wintry economic climate.

One of my favorites is "
I Am A Fugitive From A Chain Gang
                  "
