Derek gets inside the spaceship and summons all the flying saucers to increase their gravitational pull and crash into the ground. (Am i right?)
And also, does Derek survive or die?! All we see is Betty, Grandpa and Joe walking out of the cave and then Derek's face talking in the sky. WTF?!!
And what happened with the other bad alien dudes? And Derek's father? They were all still on Earth.

Derek turned into a ghost. Now the spirit of his head is floating in the hills by the cave. Didn't you see the end of the movie?
No two persons ever watch the same movie.
