Just watched my old VHS copy of it, and I totally agree. Personally I loved the way Joanne Woodward looked in that black dinner dress. If that were my date she'd definitely be smiling the next morning!

IMHO Lee Remick, in terms of physical allure, was
just a shade
below Elizabeth Taylor in 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' in this film. Hotties!
