Does anyone know if there is a DVD release pending for this film. It sounds very interesting but I cannot seem to find a copy anywhere!

I emailed Rialto Pictures (the company who made the new 35mm print of the film) and asked them if there are any plans for a DVD release. They said that there are no plans yet. Seeing as how many Rialto Pictures restorations end up being distributed on DVD by the Criterion Collection, I emailed them to ask if there were any plans, and they were more positive, but didnt give me any details. Hopefully we will hear soon!

I believe Criterion now has the rights to several Malle films, including ELEVATOR and AU REVOIR LES ENFANTS

I bought the Belgian DVD release today

There is also an Australian release available, but you may want to wait for the Criterion release.

for those of you who dont know, criterion released it on tuesday. i now have it and it is awesome. great special features (especially about the soundtrack), and an awesome transfer.
