      I wonder why that is? This movie is not as well-known as "The Big Sleep" or "The Maltese Falcon."

          Actually the top 3 are pretty much tied with only a fraction of a point between them. Double Indemnity is a famous film noir, especially among film buffs and critics, it has one of the classic noir storylines - femme fatale uses gullible love-struck hero to get what she wants and than dumps him or in some cases, kills him.

              You should watch Double Indemnity. Edward G Robinson and his "little man".
              Barbara Stanwyck playing the female lead should be right up your alley.
              A Billy Wilder classic.
