I'm a new Marx Brothers fan, I saw Duck Soup about a year ago and have since seen the 3 classics (Night at the opera, Day at the races and Duck Soup), today I saw this and I was curious as to is there a film about the Marx Brothers?

The Marx Brothers in a Nutshell
      and
      The Unknown Marx Brothers
      come to mind.

As far as I am aware there hasn't been a film per say. There have been some shows and such about them but no bio-pics.

Gabe Kaplan's one-man show "Groucho" has a lot about the brothers as well. I know it's out on VHS, but I don't know about DVD. It's mandatory for any Marx Brothers fan.

I'm rather surprised nobody has attempted a biographical film about them, but on the other hand, I'm glad they haven'twho could capture their images accurately.
I'm the kind of guy, when I move - watch my smoke. But I'm gonna need some good clothes though.

No, but there is a very funny musical for Marx impersonators called "A Night In The Ukraine " and another, biographical musical called "Minnie's Boys".

So far there isn't any biopic or biographical movie about The Marx Brothers, but I have heard rumors there have been some planned, however as far as I know, they have all been abandoned for the same two reasons: First, it would be a nightmare to cast, and second, the Marx Brothers' family estate is known for it's tight control over their life stories.
The closest of some sort of portrayal, is the TV movie "Groucho" (1982) and the filmed Broadway show "Groucho: A Life in Revue" (2001), which was written by Harpo's son, Arthur Marx. The latter is pretty good actually, Frank Ferrante is really amazing as Groucho in it. He has mastered the mannerisms down to perfection.
