I believe a missing link in horror movies is a style of film-making that is in black and white and the music and ambience of the 1930's and 40's, but the sensibilities and style of film-making of the 70's and 80's horror movies. Wouldnt that be great?? I guess the Monster Squad came close, but I picture a style with black and white gothic photography, but with more drama, more monster, less talk! It's a shame there was never a decade of film-making for this style.
