Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Why Worry?

    Harold Lloyd — 1 year ago(November 09, 2024 07:52 AM)

So, Why Worry? In this 1923 Harold Lloyd classic, the answer is simple: because if you're a millionaire hypochondriac who's terrified of everything—including the very idea of travel—then you’re bound to get tangled in some hilarious misadventures.
Lloyd plays an anxious, health-obsessed rich guy who, in typical Lloyd fashion, finds himself in a series of absurd, high-stakes situations that make worrying seem like a pretty bad hobby. Earthquakes? Wild mobs? A mad doctor with a huge syringe? No problem for Harold. Why worry when you can just end up in ridiculous, slapstick peril and come out unscathed… and probably with a giant bandage on your head?
Moral of the story: Worrying is a lot of work, but Harold Lloyd makes not worrying look like a fine art.
