Was wondering if anyone knew whether the scene where Harold chases the robber down a desolate road in a car was the scene that inspired the music video for Radiohead's 'Karma Police'. Which features lead singer Thom Yorke driving after a guy down a road resembling the one in the film, and the guy being chased even looks like the robber in the film. Also I recall reading that it was inspired by some film but can't remember the title. Does anyone know for sure?

Re the guy being chased even looks like the robber - The open-mouthed tramp/robber from Grandma's Boy looks fairly similar to the man being chased in Karma Police. He opens his mouth in the same fashion when he is caught by the car. Thom Yorke is in the back seat so it makes you wonder if the car is like some devil car as in 1977 The Car. I reckon the Karma Police video is very atmospheric with those fireflies flying about on that desolate road.
