— 8 months ago(July 28, 2025 02:50 PM)Do you know about old "stories" of young boys, not only like Beethoven and actual performers? I've heard of one on violin. Piano sounds interesting, was it not common for such young kids? I could look it up. I mean, do they start like at 12 or 5? I never looked such nonsense up in all my internet days.
I know I did at the beginning age 9 1/2, 10, and 11.
Something happened and I moved, and I had homework until 12 every night and often later some. I remember when it started, there were a few nights before where I used to live and seeing the clock go to 1 or 1:30 and feeling like my life was screwed. I had a normal time coming home! I actually wasn't on a schedule of some hour activity most days then.
It was no ballet there and money about the gymnastics program maybe. I wasn't crazy, though, but most of the day was literally homework, other than the other things spread out as eating etc.
I was supposed to take singing and was freaked out about no dance. I wound up in ballet once a week at a modern studio and got later cheaper piano lessons. I was supposed to pick one thing, my parents seemed to always reiterate, to see what I want to do. They said when I asked later I could do as much as I wanted when I turned 2, like I was supposed to remember.. It was then I would do it.. I chose piano and was in choir. I always looked to dance.. I wasn't allowed to get very fit or know how much to do of what.
I know I wasn't outside an hour a day ever.
I didn't sit in front of the TV ever until I quit college.. Art? It wasn't an option to paint my heart out..
All I want to say is I PRACTICED and I played. Most people were jerky as children. Later, most people just did band. Violinists so far who quit are b****'s? and older ladies were "forced.." So, I only know like people who went to arts schools half a**'d and didn't accomplish. I've never seen anyone prepared, hard working, or in singing or dance paying attention. They were focused on the U.S. There are a few conservatories. I think I'm that level, but they sped their way in. I dunno if any person "made it" in life. …
