Too many people are jerks anyway on here.

That's true. Too many people are jerks on here. I strongly suspect this informs IMDb/Amazon's decision. Then again, too many people are jerks across the entire Internet. Too many jerks in YouTube comment sections, too many jerks on Twitter, too many jerks posting under news website articles. There's a jerk epidemic out there.
I don't necessarily see this as a reason in and of itself to shut things down but to better police it and/or to redesign these sites to discourage antisocial behaviour. It could be done - but it takes effort and financial resources that Amazon evidently isn't prepared to commit. There is no noun that cannot be verbed.

Lmao weren't you paying attention? There is a jerk epidemic! That was funny. Unfortunately, this epidemic spreads far beyond the internet. Yeah, the op was ridiculous. To be glad they're shutting it down because of a few choice a-holes? Isn't there even an ignore option? Humans
