    U2 3D Concert
I was about to tell people in front of me while watching the movie to sit down since they were standing in the theater when I realized it was the concert goers from the film and the 3D tricked me.

      But, that's terrible 3D.
Of course, the unanimous decision should be : AVATAR.

How to Train your Dragon, no question.
Probably the only 3d film I've seen that I thought meaningfully benefitted from the stereopsis.

Either A Christmas Carol or Saw 3D, I don't really like watching movies in 3D.

Honestly I would have to say My Bloody Valentine 3D. Although Jackass 3D was entertaining as hell haha

"The Bubble": best 3D (Spacevision) but possibly the worst movie in history.

A toss-up between Avatar (best 3D in general) and How to Train Your Dragon (whose flight scenes are better than any one particular sequence in Avatar).

                                    DEEP SEA 3D
                                    (IMAX)
The beauty of the huge IMAX screen is that so much of our vision is filled, we don't see it as a "window," but rather we are immersed in that environment. In IMAX, the movie extends from infinty "behind" the screen to in front of our noses. It feels like all one space.

                                    DEEP SEA 3D
There was this wonderful shot of a great white shark just swimming in front of us. It was beautifully shot and felt so tangible. Underwater subjects lend themselves very well to 3D.
As for a 3D narrative movie, I thought
                                    My Bloody Valentine
was well done. Not just the off screen effects, but watching it, I really felt like I was

that Pennsylvania coal town. The sense of presence was great.
                                    AVATAR
disappointed me when the depth of field was narrowed. People complained about trying to look at a flower in the foreground, but since it was out of focus, it sent mixed signals to the brain. I realize Cameron used the classic technique to focus on the subject he wanted us to watch, but his story should do that instead. 3D works best IMO when the depth of field is greatestit best imitates our vision, even if it doesn't perfectly replicate it.

Avatar had really good 3D, but it didn't make good use of it.
Jackass had the only live action high framerate 3D I've seen, and it was awesome.
Toy Story was perfect 3D animation.
Tron Legacy had the most entertaining and exciting 3D I've seen.
