…and will be in theaters again this month.
It's been more than 30 years since the movie 'Field of Dreams' was released on April 21, 1989. After starting as a limited-release, it went to theaters around the nation on May 5, 1989. The movie, starring Kevin Costner, James Earl Jones, and Ray Liotta, pulled in more than $84 million at theaters, 76 percent of it in the United States. 'Field of Dreams' returns to the big screen for two days in June for a 30th Anniversary Event.
The movie, filmed mostly around Dubuque and the field outside Dyersville, will show in theaters on Father's Day, Sunday, June 16, as well as Tuesday, June 18.

Might be a few spoilers in this post.
I love this movie so much. I don't know how to describe how it gets me every time I watch it. From the first time the voice speaks to Ray in the corn field, right through the arrival of Shoeless Joe and the other baseball players, going back in time to find 'Doc' Graham, and then the last scenes when Ray meets his father, - I have goosebumps and feel like I'm witnessing something really special. Kevin Costner was perfect.
