Well the romance between Rhett Butler and Scarlet had more screen time than Ace and Jan.
Same kind of situation in both movies: unrequited love.
But I think both love affairs were ill-fated romances but intense regardless. Jan is a bit different from Scarlett. Rhett and Ace a little different although same type of men though. Both lost the girl eventually.
