i just find it a waste of time to watch real people living their lives on a reality show. i mean isn't it better to watch people act in a tv show or movie? bc at least then they are acting and not just being their boring selves.
also it's under me as far as me being respectable. the entertainment quality is beneath me. i expect more than just putting a camera on a bunch of people and that's it, so no story, no directing that is good, no purpose, or meaning behind anything. just vapid entertainment that usually is drama filled to get people to watch. and all reality show are fake, they are actually pre written so it's not even genuine reality.
reality shows exist in the same realm that social media exists in and they only exist for one reason and that is they are scandalous, they have drama, fighting, and they are sensationalism.
and if you think about it reality shows are the same thing as social media. they both are reading or watching real, not actors people living their lives who are not actors acting. i think it's not a coincidence that the boom of reality tv shows hit at the same time as social media did. 2000s was when realty tv shows were everywhere and social media started in the 2000s also starting with my space. they are the same thing!
