I've seen him portrayed as an ugly monster, and also as a handsome, charismatic man who just happens to have a disfigured face. Of course he's always as mad as a hatter.
Gerard Butler was perfect.

I saw Chris Mann as the phantom live 3 times and once himself and he said he read my Tweets on Twitter … and I sang for him online and he liked it.

The book makes it seem pretty mysterious. I read it twice. It is a great hit as a musical (by Andrew Lloyd Webber,) of course.
Yea, he's like a true troubled soul.. I can see that.

Yes! to see someone so adamant about a thing I've loved, musical theater or that people say this must be an opera because it has the word "opera" in the title.
Wow, so you know it, as well! I'm familiar with most of it and other musicals, but I don't think I've given up my life for it.
