Ben Platt, Julianne Moore and Amy Adams with the cast and director of the new film at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
The film itself doesn’t have the same emotional punch as the Broadway play although it is faithful in its adaptation. Notably absent were two songs by Julianne Moore’s character that are present on the soundtrack. This one is sure to appease all the fans of the play but the film itself is rather unremarkable.
