Sometimes, a great director and award winning crew is not what makes a film a classic, influential or a great. We should all bear that in mind. Furthermore,
I've seen Ryan post on these boards for years. I always had the impression that Ryan was a shallow wannabe thespian turned drag queen film critic. An Drag Queen representing the LGBTQi community.
But on here, Ryan is the opposite. He's shallow, inconsiderate of other people's feelings. He has the worst conflict-resolution skills I've ever seen. It's worse than a 5th grader.
But this movie is a GEM! Omg I know loved it. It's cerebral and deeply emotional. The plot deals with deep issues about homosexuality and gender identity in a world that is still very much afraid of it. And rules that oppose everything Jaime is!
And then there is Jaime himself. Being a Drag Queen, is one thing. Jaime himself as a person is altogether!
The lyrical songs fit perfectly. It is simple and to the point that reaches deep into the human soul.
I cried while watching half of these scenes in the movie.
The lead actor isn't a good actor at all so the director does well at minimizing the actor's unattractive awkward looking self. Jaime makes an ugly drag queen. Seriously.
The entire cast makes up for his shortcomings also. And that makes for such a beautiful movie.
Thank you Ryan for introducing this film to us!!
I wish you luck accomplishing in your dreams!!

Will you try acting too, you could try interupting the news where you live with talking about Men in Black and these sunglasses that makes you wake up.

Ryan isn't in this film. Remember, he was "fired."
I don't think he was fired. I think he made the whole thing up and was trolling.
He probably auditioned for it, wasn't hired, and just made all the rest up because he was so bitter about it. The story about getting fired for talking about being in it never really made sense because it's not like this was some big super secret billion dollar Hollywood project.
