Let's talk about you and me, let's talk about all the good things and the bad things from this movie. let's talk about saw!
For a guy who s not a fan of horror movies, this franchise must be my favorite of them all. Me and my friends had a tradition to see each one of them at the cinema. Hopefully, there's going to be yet another one in October 2017. Last week I've re-watched each one of them.
Now, let us share our thoughts and ratings.
    My thoughts:
Saw (2004DVD): To me this movie is pure genius. When it came out we all talked about the final twist and how crazy the movie was. From it came one of the biggest horror movie serie and I saw each one of them at the cinema. With it's tense music, sound effects, dialogues and gore, it always give me a good rush. The story is so crazy and the movie well made that all minor flaws are not important. I like how Jigsaw picks his victims according to their sins and never actually "kills" them, it's all depending on their own choices and they either kill each other or kill themselves. The movies all consist of sick twisted games he plays on them so they can get redemption, with a solid story to glue it all together. The scenes where we see each victims a few minutes prior to their abduction help care for each character.
Random note 1: Solid editing/ transitions.
    9/10
Saw 2(2005DVD) Another clever, nicely woven story with intense scenes. Some uneven acting but who cares when the plot packs such a punch with another memorable twist. Some scenes slowed the movie down (most with Daniel (the kid)) but the outcome is worth going through the dull parts.
    8/10
Saw 3 (2006 DVD) A bit more of a gorefest but still a pretty solid story to go along some very "hard but fun to watch" scenes. The same good old pattern is used here again, showing the main victims a few moments before they get kidnapped making us care for them a little more. The actress who played the doctor was pretty good. the guy who did the vengeful father, not so much. 7/10
Saw 4 (2007 DVD): This one starts off with what might be the greatest body autopsy scene ever made. I like the characters but the plot is not tightly woven like the first three. It feels like they made the movie in a hurry (1h26 might be a proof). The final twist is more of a WTF moment than a OMG moment. You need to sit back and think about a lot of things to figure out what just happened. It's like putting the pieces of a confusing puzzle together but then once you finish it, the image in front of you brings up even more questions. All the connections with Saw II and III were good but confusing too.
Random Note 2: Very good editing/scene transitions.
It's fun to see jigsaw's wife for the first time but her story line progress is oh so slowly!
As for the death traps, some of them are crazy but none is comparable to the previous Film. Actually, the real torture from this movie was that we had to wait a full year to get the answers to our questions. I probably didn't even remember them when the time came.
    6.9/10
Saw V (2008 DVD); It feels way better to watch it immediately after the previous one, while it was still fresh in my mind. because like I said, a full year was way too long a gap between the two movies. (obviously , I should've re-watched saw 4 before seeing this one at the cinema but didn't)
The death traps in this one are still interesting, the characters/actors in them were okay but I felt like the dialogue was the problem. It often felt forced and I think if the script had been better written the actors could've made those scenes more interesting. The "work as a team" game Jigsaw created was very clever, I have to admit. We see jigsaw's wife again in this one but nothing revealing yet.
Random note 3: Good editing/ transitions.
Every saw movie is a mix between "cop thriller" and horror but this one leans more on the thriller side. Not highly entertaining but at least a lot of things are explained. The final scene was frickin' epic. Crazy stuff right there. 6.7/10
Saw VI (2009 blu-ray): This one has a weak ending compared to the others but it's still a pretty good movie overall. TheJigsaw's wife mystery is finally revealed and Hoffman's story comes back full circle. (Or does it?) A lot of good elements but lacks in the shock and awe aspect. The whole insurance company and loan sharks plot line may sound ridiculous for some people but to me it struck a personal chord as I worked in both departments. I really liked how they used those topics. 6.2/10
Saw:the final chapter (2010 Blu-ray): What impressed me The most about this is that after six movies they still manage to find some crazy ass death traps. And this one features some of the best of the whole franchise. The first scene of the movie is just good fun. (The 2 guys and 1 girl in a display window in the middle of the city) The one with the skinheads and the car is one of my favorite. The one with the key and fishhook in the stomach and the one where the guy had to lift the thing with h

          Nope lol.
CG gore is the worst thing that has ever happened to the horror genre.

I thought the first film was mediocre and the rest pretty bad. At least the ones I have seen. Didn't see the last 1 or 2.
                      Saw 5.5/10
The rest I have seen 3/10
