Pick up one of the very few oddball monster flicks that even I haven't managed to plow through. I thought this was such a coup when I managed to land the rare (at that time) DVD, and almost nobody had heard of it.
Since then, I have tried to watch it about six times, and I have made it less distance into the film, every time. With a unique monster and a standard eco-terror theme, I'd like to think that even I could turn in a decent B-grade flick with a cheapo monster, a generic soundtrack, and a 'They tampered in God's domain' overall message.
It turns out to be the Chinese Water Torture of monster films. We see the same basic attack-of-the-cameraman scenes as the monster grows/develops, but the thing never gets on camera until godnozewen! I LOVE cheapo monsters, and I have yet to be able to watch this film from the beginning until the actual REVEAL.
And I can't do it, tonight. I got about 7 hours to sleep, before work.
I'll try again, though. For Alamoscout210.

that's the spirit DB. As Charles Coburn quips, "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!" err, after a nights sleep and a day at work that is..

I don't need sleep. Remember my Top Tip. I've got my boss and co-workers so inured to my behavior that I can probably draw a paycheck for two weeks after I die, if I can get my brother-in-law to cart my corpse around.

I have the Something Weird dvd in my collection. I've watched it a couple of times. I think it is meant to be a satire more than anything. The director is Fredric Hobbs. I have also seen his ROSELAND and ALABAMA'S GHOST.
