C'mon now, you know 28 Days Later is unique if you ignore the fact it borrowed from previous George Romero movies.
I collect dead pigeons then I press them between the pages of a book.

It probably owes as much, or more, to The Last Man On Earth (1964) and Day Of The Triffids than any Romero film

so a vampire, sci fi n zombie flick that are 'unique', by which i'm going to assume you mean non generic, original takes but still good movies.
i'll go Livide, From Beyond & The Battery for ech genre respectively

Haven't seen your other recs, but great call on The Battery - I was mostly schlurbed when I watched, but eez good quality and I loved the ending. They put out a call for viewer investment on their next project. I forget what happened.

Tex Monta Will Survive was thier next one, not seen it yet and not sure what sort of release, if any, it got.

I'd say 28 Days Later is quite a unique zombie film, in that it has no zombies in it.

Currently my favorite horror film. I've watched it at least a dozen times, and I notice new details on every fresh viewing. Both the leads are immensely likable, and their bond anchors a gripping narrative that can never really be resolved, oddly enough.

I'm glad you liked it, Eseh. On my first viewing, I was drawn into the well-written relationship between the two friends. Good acting too. It was so realistic and unusual that it didn't even need to be a horror movie- that was an added bonus, in some respect, at least for me.

Exactly. The actors had really good chemistry and there was a sense that the two characters had truly known each other for years.
