This slow burn indie offering depicts a long winter hiking trip that goes terribly wrong. The characters are somewhat obnoxious- they don't seem to like each other very well, but this turns out to be the least of their problems. Good acting and a realistic screenplay keep things going until the shocking ending- it sand bagged me. This is a most original and engaging film.
7.5/10
I added it to this Best Indie Horror list:

Yes- almost exactly in the middle of the movie. You have a good memorial Eseh.
They come on a patch of snow slope and then spend the afternoon sledding. It's the weakest scene in the movie, should have been cut and certainly that awful Indie pop song accompanying it should have been axed as well. Luckily the before and after parts of the movie were spooky and interesting. The sound effects and soundscape was remarkably effective- straight forward and odd, 80s style. The sound significantly increased the dread.
The ending is AWESOME and I never saw it coming either but I'm not the brightest film watcher heffe. Mainly I liked the final girl best of all. Good actor and she got the best lines in the screenplay. Sometimes these slow slow burn movies scare me bad from the tension- this was one of those times. Better than
Willow Creek
for the "tent scenes" as well. For me anyways on the SCAROMETER. -
