Hello:
I am looking for the title of the soap opera and episode that contains a scene where a brown-haired woman gets trapped in some sort of operation room. She tries to break upon the door to get out but is overcome by a large, flash of light, and it looks like she almost gets suffocated from the heat (after the light shines on her, she turns away from the door, screams, and the scene cuts away). She is shown later lying down, but is alive.
I've also posted this question to the "I Need To Know" page but thought I post it here too to see if I could have better luck. Sorry about that!

Sounds like Robin from "General Hospital". She was in the lab, I believe, and was believed to be killed.
