I was watching Death in Paradise today. I usually enjoy this show, preferring
murder mysteries. The actors are fine, if not always, at least beautiful.
The episode involving a legend about buried treasure was difficult to watch, actually to hear and understand. The musical accompaniment took place while the actors were talking! It is so annoying. I can't believe the director would want to drown out the actors he/she has chosen. It's the mark of an amateur to allow
music to play loudly at the same time as the audience is trying to follow the
dialogue, and in the case of a mystery, the details that lead up to the culprit(s).
