I remember seeing some films during the 70s on late night TV that were clearly a rip-off of UNCLE, there were at least 2 of these made but may have been more.
They were obviously a rip-off because the plots (which I don't remember) featured two secret agents who clearly were supposed to be stand-ins for Napoleon Solo and Ilya Kuryakinthe senior agent had jet black hair and typical leading-man looks in the style of Robert Vaughn, and his partner was younger and blond and clearly meant to evoke David McCallum. These were in color, and if I saw them on early 70s syndicated TV then they were probably produced about 5 or so years before this (when the UNCLE/Bond craze had peaked), so I'm thinking they were probably released in the period 1966-1970.
Anyone know what these might be?

There were two 2-part episodes of U.N.C.L.E. that were spliced together to make a feature film for theatrical release. The Double Affair became The Spy With My Face and The Alexander The Greater Affair became One Spy Too Many. Could you be thinking of these?
But throughout it all, my motto was "Dignity! Always dignity!".

No these weren't UNCLE films, they didnt star Vaughn and McCallum, just two other actors who resembled them.
