I remember a long time ago watching a movie or show where a man is chasing after somebody, and it ends up being him. He was running after himself.
Was this a Twilight Zone episode? I don't remember where it was from. It was from a show/movie where supernatural things happen and I think it was in black and white. -

In the last season of Six Feet Under, after being attacked David is haunted by fear of a man who is following him wearing a red hoodie. Just as they are about to confront one another, David pulls back the red hoodie to see the man's face is own. He embraces the man symbolically accepting himself and the trauma of his past.

I like the one where the woman is driving across the country and keeps seeing a hitchhiker. At the end, she calls her mother and the person who answers the phone reveals that her mother has been in the hospital ever since finding out that she (the woman who called her mother) died days earlier in a car accident. The woman realizes she's dead and the hitchhiker is the grim reaper. He says, "I believe you're going…
my
way?"
My favorite is the Talky Tina episode, though.
