Since so much thought out to give an 80:s retro feel on this show, it wouldn't surprise me if she was casted (p2000artly) because she looks so muck like Will Wheaton (stand by me-era).

Yeah I totally see it now - though my first thought was how much she looked a
much younger version of a young Margaret Collins - the White House Press Secretary in ID4.

Portman has a much sharper and angular face with a pointy chin as opposed to Millie at that age when I go and look back at her photo beside Mille.

That's closer to the facial shape of Millie than a young Portman.
She looks like she could have been Will's little sister.
Never would have made that connection, though. -
