I recently replied to a post on this board that no longer exists. My reply was due to some negative comments about Millie's appearance, her talent, and the longevity of her career, which is basically over according to this person's comments and remarkable insight. Is it too early to start sending all the awards her way? I'm not sure, but I'm certain that it is way too early to start questioning the future of her career based on her work so far. Since the post has been deleted, I would like to share my thoughts about this topic again in this post.
I can see Millie having a very long career, and I don't believe a lack of talent will ever be her problem. Her outgoing personality appears very genuine to me, and this will help her along the way. Something that I have noticed in her interviews (which is natural for her age) is that she tends to be a little silly at times, but follows up very quickly showing her intellectual side, and I fear that she may be more grounded than those in charge of her career right now. Unfortunately children at her age are very vulnerable but hopefully, being confident in her own ability will allow her to overlook the negative comments and shallow opinions that plague these forums and the internet in general. The main point that I would like to make is that I think it is very sad when people blindly "demean" this young girl or anyone when they have been gi2000ven the opportunity to pursue their Dream!!!
I would also like to add, the main thing that she has going in her favor right now is confidence. Talent and confidence is a powerful combination, and I believe Millie has both. -

You know, no matter which side of this point one is on it turns out to be a totally useless discussion. So I will only comment on why I think it is useless.
You can start by looking at young male and female actors over the past 30 or 40 years who began their "careers" at a very young age. For example look at Tatum O'Neal who won an Oscar when she was what, 9? In her role in "Paper Moon." She certainly was a "can't miss" young star. Can you name any of her subsequent movies after that one without looking them up?
How about Quvenzhan Wallis who was nominated for an Oscar in her first role when she was 9? She is only 13 now but has not really done too much since.
How about Haley Joel Osment, so acclaimed for his role in "I See Dead People" when he was 9 or 10? What has happened to him? He works regularly but at 28 he has become a bit player, a small actor in a large sea of talent.
Others, like Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson, and Leo DiCaprio, all started out very young and have become pretty big stars. Ron Howard was a hot young actor as a small boy and has become one of the acclaimed directors of our times. As did Jodie Foster.
So my point is there are too many variables. People change when they go through puberty, their attitudes and goals as well as their physical appearance. Who knows where Millie Brown will be in 5, 10 and 20 years, or what she will be doing? The future is unwritten and we have to resist the urge to try to write it. We just have to wait and see, and hope we will be pleasantly surprised more often than disappointed.

TxMike!
Very Good Points, I totally agree with you. I'm certainly not trying to write Millie's future for her, more like admiring the potential that I believe she has shown for her young age. Even though it is a useless discussion as you pointed out, it will continue to be a topic of interest for many. Hopefully before they post, they will be respectful of her youth. -

Oh so what? She's what, like 12? Kids these days love social media..it's what they do. I think it's pretty normal of her to be active on social media.
And good for her for enjoying her tjme in the spotlight! That's an open and honest answer from her regarding fame..most people downplay it..at least she is honest enough to admit she is loving the attention. Why wouldn't she? She is getting tons of compliments, people are noticing her work and I'm sure she's getting tons of offers for roles, she's getting to travel and meet new people and share her many talents with the worldshe doesn't seem stuck up or anything, just a kid enjoying her life..she's having a blast and you can tell that.
She strikes me as being very outgoing and extroverted.,she's in paradise right now. Let the kid enjoy it whileit lasts!
And Natalie Portman and Ron Howard and dicaprio all seemed to have parents who kept them grounded when they were younger..they weren't stage parents. -

I read an article th5b4at said her dad was confused about how Hollywood agents work. He's used to sports agents because he has friends who are sports agents and he thought you asked for that up front like they do in sports.
But who knows? Hopefully she will have an amazing future! -

Geezus! The CHILD is only 13, so this "discussion" about her career is INSANE. Let her be a child - her parents apparently weren't interested in that. I'd be afraid of her "Beiber-ing" - turning into an arrogant adolescent. So lay off the kid, and everyone, cool yer jets, and let her be a kid. I hope her parents aren't so greedy as to steal her dough, or mess her up by selling her off to acting gigs instead of letting her grow into a young woman. I sure HOPE she's silly in interviews. It's so effin' effed that the effin' main stream media is such a parasite, perverting children so.

I mentioned Millie being silly in interviews, trying to convey, that despite her maturity and intellect, she is in fact still a child. This child also has a job in the film industry, making her career a topic of interest for those that admire her talent and her work. I believe most everyone would consider that to be admiration for the young celebrity, not insanity. Even for those who disagree and whose opinions are not as admirable, discussing her career is still a topic of interest. Maybe you need to Cool Yer Jets!!!
