Tobey was American, and Tom, a fellow Brit, was a bit of a better Spider-Man in my opinion..not just cos i'm a Brit but cos he, WAS Spider-Man..

Technically, Garfield was both, since he was born in California and held a dual citizenship. But, yeah, obviously he grew up in the UK and probably considers himself British first.
