Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Sarah Snook

Sarah's job in Predestination was one of the strongest female performances in recent memory. She hit every note perfectly. Unlike crap actors like Russell Crowe who get by by "underplaying" every role, Sarah actually added a tonne of weight and gravity to the film by her subtle expressions, to the point I was wondering if the john in the Bar was played by a different person than the younger Jane, when in reality they were both played by her. It was a great performance, and If Jackie weaver got nominated for her okay performance in Animal Kingdom, Snook should be a front-runner for award season.

I agree with you ,sarah is an absolutely brilliant actress, she completely out acts everyone on everything she's ever done(I first saw her in Packed to the rafters), she has the most amazing eyes and her expressions are fantastic, possibly the finest actress around and so,so beautiful .

She makes you believe It, that she is two people who are the same person at different points in time. in my mind there is no doubt John is a man, I believe it. But she's a woman. And her own grandpa.
Without the original short story by Heinlien, this fantastic role would have been impossible- but it is also the love and care of th2000e filmmakers, and this story is not even their normal genre.
