There are plenty of good looking men and women who are excellent actors. Matthew Mcconaughey, Jared Leto, Charlize Theron, Catherine Zeta Jones fully deserved their Awards.
Because there are just so many ugly Hollywood leading actors to choose from
You are so naive.

Lol, true, the window for actors to get roles and then get noticed for awards is ridiculously limited. They'll throw the rest a bone every now and then, like with Monique or Mark Rylance but by and large

Actually it was not such an easy life for Margot. From Wikipedia: "To make ends meet, Robbie worked three jobs simultaneously at the age of 16.[2] She studied drama at school,[2] graduating from Somerset College.[7] When Robbie was 17 years old, she moved to Melbourne to begin acting professionally."

For people like Margot, life is effortless. She breezes through life getting everything she wants. This
halts character development in real life
and causes beautiful people to create shallow, depthless on screen characters.
I have certainly seen evidence of this in real life. Not too sure about the on screen thing, though.

Seriously? That's your reply?!
Did your parents have any children that lived beyond childbirth?
I don't why people like you think people like MR are any less talented just because they are good looking. AND if you don't think MR isn't attractive AND isn't talented, you are disqualified to post comments or this site. -

Are you sure you are replying to the correct post? If you read what I wrote, I said I have certainly seen evidence in real life of individuals I have met, who are beautiful/handsome, and have always had things their own way, and have never had to come up against adversity because of their looks. This also means that they consequently don't have a well-rounded personality.
I also said, in response to the OP, that I wasn't sure about the on-screen thing, meaning that I don't think this is necessarily true in the case of actors.
Where did I even
mention
MR's looks or talent, much less disparage them? I think she is both attractive and talented.
Did your parents have any children that lived beyond childbirth?
I have no idea what this means, but I assume it's meant as some so5b4rt of insult. If you have the capacity to use language in an eloquent manner, perhaps you would explain it to me.
