    1. INTRODUCTION:
It's what they do all day to put 'Shoo Fly Pie' on the table

    SONG: (vocals by Dinah Shore)
Matt Garth Game it's time to say 'Howdy'
Makes your eyes light up placing Clark on the Bounty
Clint with Streep in MADISON COUNTY
We never get enough of that wonderful stuff
Matt Garth Quiz this one is a whopper
The jobs to make the ends meet a butcher or copper
A basketball coach played by Dennis Hopper
We never get enough of that wonderful stuff

    QUOTE:
"There are no two words in the English language more harmful than Good JOB."
'Terence Fletcher' (J.K. Simmons) in WHIPLASH

    1. SET-UP: Alphabetically and numerically listed below in
      BLUE
are 140 PERFORMERS all of them multiple (two or more) career OSCARED (winning or nominated). Two of them can be matched in a unique way both have portrayed characters who worked at the same profession or calling. All of the jobs are perfectly legal and tax-paying (no outlaws or gangsters or prostitutes or drug dealers). One was OSCARED (winning or nominated) in that role (OP), while the other was not (NN).
    2. CHALLENGE: Match and label (OP & NN) the two PERFORMERS, name the PROFESSION, and identify both THEATRICAL FILM TITLES (no TV-Movies allowed in here). An example is offered below. To avoid posting confusion, it is recommended that players use the 'in-line' viewing service. Just ONE response per post, and only THREE consecutive guesses before another player participates. PERFORMERS will be reunited in
      RED
when solved, along with the PROFESSION and the name of the clever player who solved it.
    3. The 70 PROFESSIONS to be identified are helpfully listed in alphabetical order at the bottom of the quiz, and will be deleted as they are found.
    4. Contest Statistics:
      140 PERFORMERS / 70 PROFESSIONS / 140 FILM TITLES
      70 OSCARED (W or N) PERFORMANCES (OP) / 70 NOT NOMINATED (NN)

    1. EXAMPLE:
    1. TOM HANKS
      and
    2. DENZEL WASHINGTON
These two PERFORMERS are a PROFESSION match.
    1. POSTING PROCEDURE:
      a) Place NUMBERS and PROFESSION on the Subject Line.
      Ex.: 144/156 AIRLINE PILOT
      b) Place FILM TITLES and PERFORMERS (last names will suffice) with LABELS (OP=Oscared Performance / NN=Not Nominated) in the Message Box.
      Ex.: SULLY (Hanks-NN) / FLIGHT (Washington-OP)
    2. SPECIAL NOTATIONS: NTA = 'Not the Answer' / KP = 'Keep Pursuing' (on the right track) / QS = 'Quit Searching' (on the wrong path). Only one matchup can be correct (mine - it's good to be the QM) in order to avoid creating orphans. Do not return to update a previous post this vehicle cannot make U-Turns. Duplicate responses are determined by the earlier time stamp.

    1. EQUATIONS:
      Questions: 30%-Easy / 30%-Challenging / 30%-Difficult / 10%-Impossible
Answers: 99% - Absolutely Accurate / 01% - Garth Gaffe (Advance Apology Extended)
    2. SCORES: will appear below in
      PURPLE
on the Scoreboard in groupings of THREE.
** Denotes DDC (Double Digit Club) Membership / LLS (Last Link Standing)
    3. QUIZMASTER MANIFESTO: After a warm welcome and helpful hints for incorrect answers, the QM may not always respond to every post. Not being unfriendly just utilizing the time more wisely by keeping the Scoreboard U-T-D (Up-To-Date). Besides, too many posts might scare off potential players and it's just too boring to keep typing 'YES' over and over. When traffic becomes overwhelming, the QM will post correct answers five at a time and group the corrections. Be patient about those Updates the QM thinks and types slowly (do you prefer 'em fast or accurate - I don't do both).

both go elsewhere. Also, BOTH were nominated in those roles. Links should be one nomed, one not. Oh, and don't forget to label (OP & NN).

both link elsewhere and labels needed.
Also both were nominees in those roles, only one of the two can be.
