Seriously, this girl, while cute, isn't as great an actress as people like to believe. She being so great in True Grit is probably more due to the Cohen's writing and directing than her acting chops. She hasn't done a half decent film since then and in none of those films has she pulled off anything remarkable as far as acting goes.
There is a reason she isn't getting any big roles folks. -

You should probably pay attention to when something was posting when you reply to it. It was made when she was releasing her music album.

Your point doesn't still stand. You don't get to ignore context just because you choose not to pay attention to it. She had taken a break from serious roles to focus on her album at the time.

She should stick to singing then, because in all the movies I've seen her in since TG she has been cringe-worthy. I just watched the Romeo and Juliet that recently came out, and she ruined it for me. All the other young actors were amazing, and she seemed like she was just reading the lines and not even trying to act. She can sing well, I'll give her that, so hopefully that's what she chooses to stay with cause I'm not wasting any more money or time watching her mediocre movies.

Agre5b4e. She should just stick to singing, because she hasn't been very good in any movies i've seen her in besides True Grit. She was terrible as Juliet, and also pretty bad, acting-wise, in Pitch Perfect 2- which didn't exactly require a great deal of acting chops to begin with.

Your opinion, she's still a great actress, she was pretty good in Ender's Game, and Pitch Perfect 2, she is going to return in Pitch Perfect 3. I tell you, Hailee should have been Katniss instead of the overrate Jennifer Lawrence, because Hailee is a lot closer to Katniss from the book

Not a fluke necessarily (she IS talented) but she's an actor who will probably have one great role followed by "meh" roles. She reminds me of Jennifer Lawrence, who was wonderful in Winter's Bone but, has been pedestrian and commercial in all her other roles (I know Silver Linings was suppose to be a great performance but I disagree).

Nope I don't think it's a fluke, Hailee proved herself to be very talented actress, Edge of Seventeen is another movie that proves once and for all it wasn't a fluke, I'd say that movie put her on the map again

She has been appearing at a lot of press events for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association lately; I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up getting a Golden Globe nomination for this (probably in the "comedy or musical" category).
