Can't Deal With Her Acting

I really wanted to watch Revolution. Really tried to give it a fighting chance. It's a good show, well written, but I just cannot watch her acting for an hour. Maybe it's the way the character is written, or maybe she's. just wrong for the roleI'm not sure.

100% Agree. I think she seems like maybe one day she could be a good actor. It's nothing personal nor am I hating. I think she does get really bad lines as well. I don't think it's all her - those lines she gets are just horrible sometimes and she's not good enough to pull it off. My friend and I watch it and just can't help but laugh. When she5b4's sad her eyes get wide and she frowns. She's better than the first half of the season but I think it's because they put her way in the back and no longer as a lead. Although now when she's angry she speaks in a raspy voice as if to really get the point across she's mad. Sad because I loved Smash and Katherine McPhees horrible character and monotone acting where she literally reacted and spoke the same whether happy, sad, scared or angry - and this girl having a bad annoying character always making stupid decisions, thinking she is tougher than she is and again bad acting ruins it for me.
Not sure what NBC is doing when they cast but they need to realize just one bad actor can be the difference between it being watchable or becoming a joke. I enjoy Revolution more the last few episodes but I still cringe when she acts. Shame. I hope she gets better for both our sake! -

Couldn't agree more! i can't tell if it's her acting or how her character is written, probably both, but there MUST be some one out there that could of played this character without me wanting the whole of revolution to be real life just so i can kill her.
There's so much that adds to it, like her face, it's one that you wanna slap just because of how it looks and how it has that 'know it all' expression almost all the way through AND a smug look on her face is the most irritating face i've ever seen, which when her character acts high and mighty in inappropriate scenarios (often) really makes it seem worse.
There are other things that let the show down a bit but her acting and character is something i can not overlook, I can watch most tv show/movies both good and awful and get absorbed into the story enough to overlook almost anything, the fact that i'm here writing this means it's bad.
I think this show could have been GREAT, and to be honest the plot is good enough to keep me watching BUT her acting/character makes it VERY hard to enjoy it. such potential wasted maybe because of several things, maybe because of a few, either way she was a major mistake.
UPDATE: Since starting season 2 of Revolution i have a feeling it's more the character than the actor. This may well be because she wasn't the main focus and so had less lines, she was still quite annoying when she did, because of this her character Charlie was less annoying during the second season.
Her characters mother became the irritating one in a similar way towards the end of season one and throughout the second season when she wasn't so much before, which is why i feel it's more the character (of course her acting still played a part in the annoyance).
..I still don't like her smirky face.. -

I really can't believe how bad this girl is. Did they even have auditions for her part? Who lost? That's what I want to know.
Her raised eyebrow looking up in shock in EVERY scene makes me want to throw something at the TV.
There are so many talented people out there, you know. Just start recruiting in other parts of the world where English is spoken if you exhausted the US (ofc not).
And the recruiting staff for this, with the writers, should never do another TV show again.
