I'm sorry, I know we should all be in awe of Black Canary, but I can't stop watching her mouth when she's in shot, and it's painfull! It's like watching the family guy episode where they did the Rene Zellweger joke.
I really wanna like her, but this lip thing, is really distracting me.

If that is all you look at you need help she pulls the part off really well. We have become a world of nitpickers. Laurel's face is to skinny he is to short to be arrow blah blah look on your remote there is a channel button if her lips bother you that much I think she is very beautiful and have met Renee when she was with Jack White here in Detroit she was beautiful. I just happened to look at her message board expecting really anything but this. It is easy to find the negative if you look for the negative. I listed those other because their the other stupid things I've read. I bet you all went into the movie Dumb and Dumber (with it being on the marquee and you buying the ticket) and came out and said that was dumbhmmm food for thought if her lips bother you so much instead of whining about it send her some collagen or sushie up and watch the show.

NOT just you. I assumed she wasn't American and came here to find out where she is from. San Diago.
She talks just like Margarita Levieva from Revenge who IS foreign and travelled extensively. Caity Lotz' bio doesn't really say much about her though.
She makes Arrow painful to watch every time she speaks. The "accent" even reminds me of Sean Connery sometimes. Whatever it is though it is annoying. The ONE thing someone who is an actress should be able to do is speak without sounding like their mouth is full of marbles. -

I thought she was doing a bad job at covering an accent as well, although I thought she might be from New York or New Jersey. I came here for the very same reason though, lol and see she is from San Diego and wonder if she broke her jaw at some point.

Horribly distracting. She looks like she's about to break into a major crying jag with quivering lower lip in every scene. Between her and poor Katy Cassidy's gaunt face and giant chin, it's hard to get through an episode without getting thrown out of the plot by their unfortunate features.

Aww mod1215. Don't make the mistake thinking you know any of us. Btw, i loved dumb & dumber when i was a kid. but that kind of humor aint for me anymore. Guess its part of growing up.
Btw, those beautyspots thea and her mom has can be just as distracting. -

I've wondered if it's just her natural way to hold her face or if the directors told her to look pouty or something, if it's not natural, whatever she's trying to accomplish it is really bad. Maybe she or her people will come on here someday to see what people think of her and see that really, they should teach her a new face trick. Meanwhile it's weird to be petty about something like this but it's too weird huh? And why can't he just fall in love with Felicity instead anyway? (but that's another topic)

Fully agree. I love watching Arrow, but the mouth thing is ridiculously distracting. I haven't seen her in anything else, so I don't know if it's natural or something she's doing for the part. And for the genius say5b4ing "if you don't like her mouth, change the channel" that's just absurd. When you like everything about a show except one distracting feature of someone it makes no sense to just stop watching the show.

It's terribly distracting. She does have a pouty face. Why can't she just pull it together and stop making that spoiled brat face. I watched her again on mad men, without realizing who she was the first time I watched MM. She makes the same dumb face in every scene. I think she feels like it's an effective emotional expression , it just makes me sick to my stomach. She looks like she has fiber glass stuck in her vagina.
