Anybody notice more fireworks than usual last night? The fireworks around me seemed unusually numerous. I usually hear fireworks on New Year's Eve, but last night it was like rolling thunder for several hours leading up to midnight - at which time it got
really
loud. I think the reason for that is that 2020 sucked so bad for most people and people were SO damn glad it was over that they just wanted lots of fireworks to blast it loudly and clearly into oblivion. A few towns across the water from me (other side of Puget Sound) were putting on displays, too, which I could see and hear from my place. Awesome night.

Not really. I really am over the entire fireworks obsession. People got way too excited about it that they used it as a nuisance to the community.
