        Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favourites. I don't often actually celebrate New Years. The only thing that changes is the date

          It is just the date changing but it's a milestone. It's one more year marked off of your life, not to get too dark or anything.

            For me, that's what birthdays are for. New Years is just another bad day to be on the road with an overabundance of drunks and cops alike
            I guess it's a way for the world to celebrate, but I prefer peace and quiet whenever possible. I'll happily skip non-essential holiday celebrations. Perhaps, if death concerned me at all, I'd feel differently about a holiday dedicated solely to marking the passing of time!
