god this guy sucks. Sorry to not deconstruct my criticism further. I know it's kinda ad hominem, I don't feel like waxing explanatory, but I hope others will agree with me on this one. He's just really, really unclever and lame.

Basically you're seeing someone that takes liberal freedoms in poking fun at "sensitive subject material" to get a reaction that isnt common in your Joe vs the Volcano world. Deal k ?
This man is original and at most times funny. From one night of you tube'n Jo koy you'll quickly realize how little material this man has currently. Every venue it's the same old routine. He's making the right decision coming from a nobody no one has ever heard of to making the " Top 10 comedians you must see " list. Play it safe go with what got you here.
Watching him win at the apollo, to his Laugh in factory, To his Jamiee Foxx Laughapalooza in vegas, and even Standing ovation performance on the Jay Leno show you see the same routine exercised with percision and craftsmanship that few new comers in the showbiz seem to have. It is a well rehearsed well practiced Monologue that is in desperate need of an upgrade.
BUT besides that he has a very sharp delivery. He has a very charasmatic way of speaking to a BROAD audience that makes Young to Old, Racial orientation to Racial orientation feel good and slightly offended in a tickleish sort of way.
but hey just valet park the hater horses and give the guy a running start before ya bury him. WHO KNOWS YOU MIGHT LAUGH ??? -

Saw a clip of his special that airs tonight on Comedy Central. He blows. I'll still watch the special though cuz I can't really judge him from a 3 minute clip. But based on what I've seen in the clip and the commercials for the special, well..

If you thought he was pretty bad from that clip, you probably saw the best part of it. He is REALLY bad. Nothing clever about his routine. He punctuates his lame 'jokes' by making some sort of face.
I have seen him several times and he's just not funny. -
