      Los Angeles
my friend. I know she is not crazy about it, but it's the epicenter of the film world.

It would make sense. Maybe it's a money thing. I read somewhere that Saoirse was driving a Toyota Yaris so she would seem to be not a "conspicuous consumption" kind of girl. But living the Hollywood lifestyle in LA would mean ramping up her spending big time.
Anyway if she did move to LA she could join one of those private golf clubs that cater for Hollywood stars and keep fit while socializing and having fun.

I'm not in favor of Saoirse moving to LA, for the reasons purple lemon elucidates. Plus, I thought she didn't want to.

            Yaris.
It doesn't hurt to be part of the social fabric of the "film" community, for the more one establishes relationships, the better for the career overall.

After the walk, Saoirse couldnt find her way back to her car, a silver Toyota Yaris named Barbara after the great Jewish goddess that is Streisand. Eventually, after an elbows-out battle through the gorse, she worked out its location, but only after a few wrong turns: I talk so passionately about Ireland, and I dont know where the beep Im going.
You mean this Yaris story is made up!

I would've envisioned a BMW or even a Volvo being her wheels.

Well she could certainly afford to own something a lot more expensive than a Yaris so I am guessing that it says something about her outlook that she chooses a basic and inexpensive car for herself.

I don't think it matters that much. She can live where she pleases. New York is good for the kind of movies she wants to do, so it's not like LA is a necessity.

I also don't think it matters, not in the actual state of her career. Moving to LA would be a good thing if she was just starting as an actress, but now it would probably just make her mingle with the bad crowd, I don't think it would make much of a difference in getting roles.

Agreed. Los Angeles is no longer necessary for all the reasons you stated.

Going by U.K. actresses who preceded her in L.A., I think she should stay away. L.A. doesn't know what to do with young female talent, or sophisticated female talent. I don't want her to turn into Kate Beckinsdale, who redid herself physically in L.A., and for what? Kristen Scott Thomas went to L.A. after The English Patient and found herself, she said, cast as the love interest for mature male stars. She, in her thirties, was considered suitably mature for leading men in their fifties and sixties. Maybe if there were a dystopian franchise Ronan could lead, like J. Law did, it would be worth it. Other than her franchises, Jennifer Lawrence's car16d0eer since Silver Linings Playbook feels forced. Saoirse can carry a movie, and in L.A. most producers will be thinking of what guy they can put her with, to prop him up. Every few years there's a female centered project but I don't think they originate in Hollywood (Carol, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, The Room). If I were Saoirse I'd do as much theatre as I could so that her career continues past her latest young thing stage.

That is a very good point. Although it would be nice for Saoirse's bank balance to land a few juicy roles in some Hollywood block busters the films would most likely be rubbish. And I'm not even sure that Saoirse would necessarily be considered by Hollywood for those type of films anyway as she is not exactly a Box Office draw card.
The film industry seems to be in a steady state of decline now anyway. I would rather see Saoirse consider going for a TV series or mini-series with HBO or even Netflix who are at least making some interesting content. Although HBO has been going downhill over the past few years as well as they increasingly chase the lowest common denominator.
The Players of The Game are the scum of the earth.

FYI..Ronan has been considered for many blockbusters! They're not her style though.
