Does he wear a hearing aid?
I have noticed something in his left ear that could be a hearing aid, or maybe it is something that the director uses to talk to him and give him instructions.
He seems to have worn the same watch for years, it looks nice and I was wondering how expensive it is and if I could buy one. Most of the watches I wear are cheap throw aways, if the battery goes dead I throw it away and buy a new one for $20 to $30. But i have a few in the $200 to $400 price range. I probably would pay up to $600 for watch but I am guessing his is over $20,000 or maybe 3 to 4 times that amount.
PS I could afford to pay $20,000 but I would rather buy something less extravagant, even $600 is pushing my limits

I know he often has a pencil in his left ear. Maybe all the noise from those busy kitchens has taken its toll on his hearing?
As for his wristwatch - I think most of the time he wears a steel Rolex Submariner. I suppose that is a good choice for a kitchen as it can put up with that tough environment. I know he has a Breitling Navitimer as well and has worn that. They're both expensive watches - hey, you can't blame the guy for rewarding himself with a nice watch?

I'll never understand the wristwatch thing

        http://www.amazon.com/Invicta-8928OB-Stainless-Two-Tone-Automatic/dp/B 000JQJS6M
Very close in appearance and $27,800 cheaper. You could probably tell people it's a Rolex and they wouldn't know.

I do take your point - if you ignore the company logo - they are so alike.

That was not the one I was thinking of, the one I often see has a yellow face and a few miniature hands and dials within the main dial

Maybe the Rolex Daytona family? Lots of dials that will tell you what's on TV and what your rectal temperature is.

              http://www.amazon.com/Invicta-Speedway-Collection-Stainless-Two-Tone/d p/B0006AAS5Q
Those are white but I see Zenith with a yellow face
              http://raymondleejewelers.net/blog/watch-of-the-week-rolex-daytona-zen ith/
And its Invicta counterpart so you won't have to sell your house to get it:
              http://www.amazon.com/Invicta-14929-Speedway-Display-Japanese/dp/B00HL VGV9U
I vote for not selling your house. I'm not sure if I get a say or not, but I'm throwing it out there anyway If bank robbing is an option then I'll hear arguments for or against next week.
But I have no idea what this thing looks like. Got any good pics with him wearing it?

This look is elegant, refined, and works just as well on the race track as it does over dinner at your favorite Palm Beach restaurant.
What do people who don't live in Florida do with this watch? Or maybe it works in any Palm Beach, and I can also wear it in Illinois That would be nice. Of course I don't live in either state so it's a little bit inconvenient. But well worth it because of how the beautiful yellow dial is accented by white sticks and black enamel subdials and that it also has an accurate reading of 1/8 second. Very useful when watching paint dry.

                      That's
                      really
yellow. I don't know, man Here's a yellow face with a metal bracelet and a second watch built in to the bracelet in case one watch isn't enough:
                      http://www.ebay.com/itm/BREITLING-CHRONOMAT-LONGITUDE-STAINLESS-STEEL- WATCH-WITH-UTC-MODULE-/301235981536?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item46231 04ce0
It might go for 5-8 new.
How about a nice leather band with a silver case and a black face?
                      http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTHENTIC-BREITLING-1884-CHRONOMAT-HANDWINDING -MENS-WRIST-WATCH-MADE-IN-SWISS-/151354709693?pt=Wristwatches&hash =item233d7196bd
$900 is still way more than I'd be willing to pay for a watch but I think that's much more attractive.

but I wanted to get something to wear when I dress up. I always liked the looks of Ramsay's watch and wanted something similar.
I have enough cash to buy a watch that costs in the tens of thousands but I just can not imagine spending that much money on a watch. I am a gun collector and came across a few rare and collectable guns this past week which totaled over $6,000 but to me the guns are an investment I can make money on if I sell then, but to me spending $3,000 to $4,000 on a watch is pushing it. I am someone that knows a lot about guns and know their value but I know nothing about watches and am worried about spending a few thousand on a watch and getting a fake knock off.
I have been thinking about getting a nice watch for a long time but my lack of knowledge has prevented me from getting one

logan-duk-dong thank you for the digestion and taking time to reply but the only way I can describe it as too much going on, it is just too busy with all those dials hand hands. Ramsa'ys watch has a lot of dials but it does not seem so overwhelming

Yeah, it's busy. But there's just something about that watch that I like You could go the other direction and stay very basic and clean:
                              http://www.amazon.com/Citizen-BM7170-53L-Titanium-Eco-Drive-Watch/dp/B 005MKGQMY
The more I read about Invicta the less I like them. They seem to be all about knockoffs. Find a sought after high end model and make a cheaper version. If you do a little digging on repairs you'll see that a lot of people have problems and servicing is overseas and you need to foot the bill for that shipment. But I don't imagine you would be interested in a cheap knockoff anyway.
The only watches in my price range that I like are sub $200 Citizen and Seiko.
                              How about a Bulova Precisionist?
                              http://www.amazon.com/Bulova-96B175-Precisionist-Stainless-Steel/dp/B0 088BMYN4
Busy, but not so busy. I like the screws around the bezel but I don't know about that watch band It's a bit clunky. Does it seem strange to you that a $750 (list price) watch doesn't come with a sapphire crystal?

Here's something more in your price range. A Breitling Colt Chronograph II for $3k.
                                http://www.amazon.com/Breitling-Chronograph-Quartz-Stainless-A7338710/ dp/B0083J9W9K
Gotta check that warranty. If you don't buy it from an authorized dealer then you don't get the manufacturers warranty and you have to rely on the seller. Amazon appears to be an authorized dealer for many name brands but you're not always buying from them.

I am sorry for not responding sooner but I had other things going on and I had too much on my mind to think about the internet or watches.. One of my dogs jumped on my bed and ate the cheese spread I was eating with crackers. I only left the bedroom for a minute to get a soda. I have two dogs and the males got a little bid sick but the female was close dying. Both dogs have stolen my food before because I did not hide it from the dogs when I answered the door or left the room for a minute. I am a grown up old made but I have been crying like a little baby expecting the worst. I have been calling the vet every 2 or 3 since I left her at the vet and I just got off the phone and was told I can bring her home at 6:30 PM tonight.
If anyone has dogs here is a reminder to be careful that they do not get and eat anyone they should not eat. I did not bother asking how much the bill will be and most likely it will be fairly expensive but I would have paid anything to save her life.

PS Before my dog got sick I did check these two links did not work when I first checked them and do not work now but it will probably be a few days before I can even think about a new watch

A little more than 3 hours from now my little girl dog will be home.

Yikes. I thought it was just chocolate that was the big problem for dogs Well, good luck. Hopefully she pulls through. I know what it's like to have a sick pup.
Those 2 links got messed up when I edited the post. I don't know why, but whenever you edit a post with long URLs a space gets stuck in there and it screws up the works. These should be fine:
If you really wanted to break the bank you could see if Philippe Dufour would make you one. Just $500k and a 1 year wait.

I really don't know that much about watches. If you wanted some better back and forth from people who know what they're talking about then you should check out some of the watch communities out there, like

My little girl passed away Saturday morning. I am a old man that worked as a cop for 20 years and have seen and been through a lot of poop in my life but I have been crying like a baby since Friday. The vet said that the cheese was not the cause and she had cancer the moved to her brain. The little girl was only 5 years old. A few hours before this happened she was running in the yard with my other Boston terrier and 36 hours later she was dead.
The vet asked if I wanted a necropsy but I didn't want to cut her up. I have an appointment with a funeral home to pick out a casket but I am having trouble finding someone that embalms dogs. There is no sense spending over $2,000 on a funeral without enabling. I am not a rich person and $2,000 is a lot of money to to bury her but I would have five or even more than tens times that much to save her but the vet said that this cancer was like a time bomb waiting to happen, Both dogs got into the cheese and the six year old male is fine. I thought that it was that she ate more than he did but that wasn't the reason.
Thank you for you concern about my dog and helping select a watch but I need some time before I can think about watches for a while.

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure she had 5 good years with you, which is more than some dogs get.
A long time ago my mom stumbled across an older abused dog and she snapped him up quick. I don't like to think about what went on before we took him in. I'm sure it wasn't nice. He may not have had a real good start to life but he definitely had a nice end with us.
Keep yourself busy. Maybe pick up a new pup.

I have another Boston Terrier that was best friends with her. I can tell he misses her. Tomorrow I have a 120 mile drive Atlanta GA to take her to a place that embalms dogs.
I got the girl dog as a friend for the boy, They were best buds and I can tell he misses her.
