          Correct lyrics to Square Biz:
          Hey!
          Everybody get up!
          Flashback, who's that
          Dancin' to the latest
          Suave, Debon(aire), the greatest
Oh, he sure is moving me
          That's what I said
          Though you didn't know yet
          All of this was Kismet
          Soon to be made history
So don't you have a doubt
I'm going to spell it out
I'll hip you to the "t" that is
I got the best, the most,
          Baby, from coast to coast
And I don't want to boast
But I love ya square biz
I'm talkin' square biz to ya baby
          Square, square biz
          I'm talkin' love, that is
          Square, square biz
I'm talkin' square biz to ya baby
          Square, square biz
          I'm talkin' love, that is
That is, that is, square biz
          So shy, oh my
Have to change that real quick
Have to use a few tricks
You know, like my femme fatale
          Phase two:
          Me, you
          Dancin' on the prowl
          Gonna sing it loud
Cause my love is on the wow
So don't you have a doubt
I'm going to spell it out
I'll hip you to the "t" that is
I got the best, the most,
          Baby, from coast to coast
And I don't want to boast
But I love ya square biz
I'm talkin' square biz to ya baby
          Square, square biz
          I'm talkin' love, that is
          Square, square biz
I'm talkin' square biz to ya baby
          Square, square biz
          I'm talkin' love, that is
That is, that is, square biz
          Oooh
Hey baby, um, what's your name, huh?
Maybe they call me Slick, Rick, baby
Yeah well, don't get too slick, now
          I'm talkin' square biz
          Talk to me
I'm talkin' square biz to you
          I'm talkin' square biz
          Talk to me
I'm talkin' square biz to you
          Baby, what's happening
          Entrez-vous Lady T
I've heard a boatload of other lady's raps
But they ain't got nothin' on me
I'm less than five foot one
          A hundred pounds of fun
          I like sophisticated funk
I live on Dom Perignon, caviar, filet mignon
And you can best believe that's bunk
          Here's what I'm talkin' baby
          Square biz
          Square biz
I've been "Casper," "Showy," "Little Bit,"
And some they call me "Vanilla Child"
But you know that don't mean my world to me
Because baby names can't cramp my style
I love chickicken, plus collard greens
A little hot warm turned cornbread
I love you too, cat-daddy, but don't you let that go to your head
          That's what I'm talkin baby
          Square biz
          Square biz
You know I like spirituals and rock
          Sarah Vaughan, Johan Sebastian Bach
          Shakespeare, Maya Angelou
and Nikki Giovanni just to name a few
Well, I'm "Wild and Peaceful" Lady Tee,
I gots to keep my "Irons in the Fire," you see!
I got the point, the scam, the load, the deal,
          What you feel.
          Say what?
          Flashback, who's that
          (flashback)
          Flashback, who's that
          (flashback)
          Flashback, who's that
          (flashback)
          Flashback, who's that
          (flashback)
          {fade}

Those lyrics were so genius. Who wrote songs that way in the 80s. She was ahead of her time.

Awesome voice. Sometimes I think being white and singing mostly R&B has prevented from getting the recognition she deserves.
just go ahead and say itadmit it. Im an A_hole!

The Lady is a musical genius who hasn't received the credit she deserves. Slowly but surely more people are recognizing her talent but it's been a long time coming. I've been a fan since I was 14. I'm 40 now. There hasn't been a week that has gone by since then that I haven't listened to one of her songs.

i agree, by the same token, folks like tracy chapman, living colour, lenny kravitz, seal, etc., don't get accepted by many blacks b-cuz they do stuff that's not perceived as 'black'.

She's an amaz2000ing artist.Regardless of color, I think she's one of the best female artists around. I mean how many women in the music business write, produce and play instruments on pretty much all of their albums? Teena is in a class by herself. She can also sing her ass off too! I love that woman. She is great, I just wish she wasn't so underrated.
