Is this album worth checking out? I know it's more rock than her normal material I've only read mostly negative reviews of the album and I was wondering if someone could give me some info. Thanks.

I found some of the tracks and my favorites are Once Is Not Enough, You So Heavy, and Shangri-La.

MAN Screw all that.. "Emerald City" is one of my Fav albums by Teena. Very diffrent, edgy and very dark. Not just rock, but 1920's style jazz(sunny skies), latin up tempo(batuccada suite) even eeire r&b(shangri-la) and of course rock ( love me down easy, lips 2 find u, once is not enough, you so heavy). I love it i got it for 4.99 in a CD warehouse.. normally a fan favorite but didnt do well @ all in '86

As a complete album it is her best and most creative work and very
very
underrated. It's too bad she never performs some of the EC songs during her concerts. I would love to hear her sing "You So Heavy" live.
