She has been cast as one of Jay Mohr's children in a new CBS sitcom. Also in the cast are Jamie King (Jay's new girlfriend), Paula Marshall (Laura's mom) and Ryan Malgarini (Laura's brother). The show is yet to be titled and is from Ed Yeager.
It is good to hear her getting work so soon after leaving/asking to leave "Back To You".

One quote was that her manager weazled her out of it, possibly by not discouraging them from considering a cast change. The show (Back to you) has potential, but the writing, directing and acting hasn't been very consistent and the desperate attempts to get higher ratings seem to suggest the show is going nowhere.
With good direction, and a good script she seems to do quite well. Stories are that his has an insanely good memory (based on commente from directors of other shows she has been on indicating that she has the WHOLE script memorized, not just her lines). She could do with some guidance in places, but for me that comes down to good directing. She isn't good enough to make up for bad directing and bad writingnot yet anyways. She is good, and with more experience, maybe a few advanced acting lessons, she could be fantastic.
I was / am puzzled by how little has been said by anyone about why she left the show. -

She is now being recast from this project, Gary unmarried, which airs at the end of September. Catherine Newton is replacing her. I went to the studio audience today to the retaping of the pilot. It was funny. I thought the cast was great. Didn't get to see the new girl though. Going again tomorrow and should see her then.

Wait, the retaped the pilot but then showed the original with Laura Morano anyway? That doesn't make sense. I thought they were just rushed for time and that's why they had two different Louise's in the first two episodes.
