… as opposed to if the man was her husband? Is she still basically throwing away her memories of him? He lived with his mother at the time he met the woman, and then moved in with her when his mother died. Thus, the photo albums that he took with him. Ten years after he died, she shipped them to his son who lives 800 miles away, with his wife and two children. She got a notification that the package was received, but his son never contacted/thanked her.
