X factor , American idol, etc, etc. It's just so unnatural to choose talent like this and make such a spectacle of it all. Were The Beatles discovered on X factor? Led Zeppelin? Jeff Buckley? no they went out and gigged until they got recognised like all artists should. Pay your dues and hope you can make it on a dream, not completely sell out the music for the money. Fame should not come this easily, it's not ok to think it can.

The industry is pretty much dead. It has traded the promotion of real talent for short term commercial gain, which is a damn shb68ame. Cowell is all about selling his "show", his show is what makes the money, not the so-called "talent" that win the show. If people want to see real music people need to get out of the house and go and check out their local music scene or build up a movement if none exists
